A Holiday Puente

✫

in that gentle place of light
between the peace of solitude
and the joyful companionship of good souls

~ glad spirits bask in the warmth of illumination ~

when we find our way back to that sanctuary …
we are comforted  …  we are renewed  …  it is the gift …
that we seek  –  again and again  –  all the days of our lives

Best Wishes ... Peace and Joy throughout the Holidays and the New Year …
I am taking the rest of the year off from blogging, and will return in 2018.

  6. The happiness of being around people you care about produces such a wonderful light. Thankfully my multicultural friends and family have many occasions to bask in that light throughout December and January.

    1. Oh, I so agree, Rommy: ‘The happiness of being around people you care about produces such a wonderful light.’ For me, by extension – keeping that light in other aspects of life is all about: balance. Between the peace of solitude and the joy of companionship, there is a myriad of errands and tasks and service to others that, let’s face it, fills up many hours of our day. When we proceed through those activities with a positive attitude and a ‘glad spirit’ there is a lovely ‘light’ to our waking hours. But when our life gets out-of-balance; when we are not introspective and contemplative and work overruns good times spent with loved ones, the days are not nearly as sweet. We feel it. We are not truly happy. And we try to find our way back to the light of balance. We do that over and over again … all the days of our lives. And each time we get it back … it is a gift … the best gift … living a pleasant life.

  7. And sanctuary is indeed there, any time our souls have the presence to claim it. A welcome seasonal reminder of spiritual truth, Wendy - thank you...

  9. Finding our way to that sanctuary can be a journey inward and outwards, but there is peace once found.
