Low ebb . . .
at the edge of worlds
where mortal troubles pale.
Wind ocean spirits dance
amongst the vast blue ocean swells.
Roving waves sweep to the shore
abiding laps
that never
would go away – and not come back.
I guess, somethings are forever.
Roving waves sweep to the shore
abiding laps
that never
would go away – and not come back.
I guess, somethings are forever.

Nice photo, Wendy! Interesting to think about the laps that would go away and not come back. I have always pictured the same water being washed and washed again to the shore, but I might be very wrong!
ReplyDeleteIndeed some things are forever, like these roving waves that go but keep coming back - a reassuring image.
ReplyDelete" Wind ocean spirits dance
ReplyDeleteamongst the vast blue ocean swells." Very cool visual!
So well captured, the eternal security of the power of creation. This says so much.
ReplyDeleteThis is so good both as an observation and as a metaphor.. waves coming and going.. still eternal.. some things just exist for a brief instant, yet through the relentlessness they internal. A great way to bridge eternal and and the instantaneous... And the first two lines are stunning.
ReplyDeleteForever is a good thing. May they go on & on :)

ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful thing to think of the sea and its lapping will go on for ever. And I liked the opening image --nicely done. And thank you for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteThe waves are unrelenting and go on forever. Good use of metaphor. Subtle:)
