Wow! Beautiful photos and haiku!! I love the third haiku especially--what a fantastic end line -ha! My kids and I are hoping we get a good snowfall this year. I hope you stay warm!
Thanks, Jennifer. The photos were taken, for me, by my oldest son - a ski, then snowboarding enthusiast from the time he turned ten (which was a long time ago - ha!) I had a lot of fun trying to figure out how to superimpose the words on the pictures and then, getting them to look, somewhat, uniform. I'm trying to get around to taking on most of the main poetry forms and experimenting with presentation is always interesting.
Great pics of snowy reality and the wonderful super imposed technique. Been wanting to do it myself. It puts some semblance of personal touch to the pics.Great way to determine copyright rights on the pics too! Great posting Wendy!
Yes the third one -- winter is both the cloak and the dagger.. I love the wordplay and all the meanings I can read into it.. The photos make me long for winter..
Wendy, spectacular snow photos and haiku's to go with them. I love the image of snowflakes--mesmerizing poetry. There is such a meditative quality to snow falling. Lovely :-)
ah! the mesmerising winter.............soon it will spread its glory
ReplyDeletebeautifully expressed...love them all but the first one is my favorite...

Beautiful photos, Wendy. B.C. is definitely a winter wonderland. Loved your haiku. Especially the second one. "Flamboyant fir overcoats" indeed!
