he
wandered
on the rugged shore as,
in the ancient sky,
cloud castles
bloomed
majestic as,
sandpipers
darted
by.
the music
of the shushing waves
sung soft as
lullabies.
and LIFE was bright
and new, once more,
seen
THROUGH
THAT CHILD’S EYES.

Yes, the best way to regain young eyes is to wander with a child. Loved this, and the photos.
ReplyDeleteWe certainly see life differently from a child's perspective. I find you have captured their pristine outlook on life very convincingly.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Really a happy read and I like the way it flows with the rhyme. Also I like the photos very much.
ReplyDeleteThe innocent view a child sees through his eyes:)
ReplyDeleteWe all need to see life through the eyes of a child. Life is a beautiful adventure that goes so quickly and needs to be cherished. I love what you have captured in this.
ReplyDeleteits cool to find your childs eyes once more...to see as we once saw...and maybe even taste it a bit in rebuilding those castles.....smiles...
ReplyDeleteAh, I have felt the feelings you have expressed in your poem, Wendy. No greater joy than enjoying the simple things of life through a child's eyes. As wonderful now as it was back 'then.' Maybe even more so as we appreciate it more.
ReplyDeleteEvery ounce of Grandmother love and pride is evident in your beautiful poem ...
ReplyDeleteOh yes...yes. Lovely...what wonderful photos too.
