where the sky
glides to the sea
in azure dreams
in azure dreams
and mystic mist …………
………… sun kissed, in beryl green
and sapphire blue
where billowed surf
and white caps …………
………… roll and break
upon the shoal
it is my bliss
to just let go ............ and drift …………
and drift…………
and drift…………
and
drift...

This is a visual poem Wendy, I am seeing dreams coming down and drifting and disappearing...love this drifting away...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely place to be,
ReplyDeleteand to just let go. It is very easy for me to see it
in my minds eye. Nature is that place for me as well.
to drift with nature;s song....bliss indeed
ReplyDeleteAh, this is what the seashore does to a person, isn't it? Makes one's thoughts drift and drift and drift. Beautiful photos to accompany your beautiful poem.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's exactly how it can feel at the seashore. Love the thought of drifting like that..

ReplyDeletei need to visit that place and feel like that.
ReplyDeleteThis actually looks like a part of the beach at Wickanninish that I know well....but I imagine there are similar coves in West Vancouver..........the ocean makes me drift too........puts me in a state of perfect peace.
ReplyDeleteI believe it was Wickanninish ... the photographs were taken near Tofino. I love that part of the island, so much, though these particular shots were snapped, just last week by my daughter-in-law.
DeleteWendy you describe your bliss so beautifully....
ReplyDeleteYup ... you've summed up that sense of total relaxation that being seaside conveys! What a nice write!

ReplyDeleteP.S. I left a comment for you at my blog.
Haha! GREAT ending to this ''waves'' style poem.
ReplyDeleteThere certainly places by the sea that have that affect on you (and me!).
ReplyDeleteDrifting away is a needed from time to time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful read.
ReplyDeleteWendy,
ReplyDeleteI lost myself in your words...Drifting aside that beautiful Pacific coastline. Memories of Cambria, California in March..Such a lovely place and your poetic words, returned me there!
