Cathedral Interlude

HEAD DOODLING BACK

He had hid behind a stand of trees when I first became aware,
and looked round the soaring columns towering in the cedared air.

He peeked, grinning, in the sunbeams:  light

breezes tousling his hair;

in the nave of a cathedral - before we knew that we were there.

  4. Yes, there is something very primordial and spiritual - holy - about the beautiful groves of Douglas Firs and ancient cedars that one comes upon, in this part of the world.
